Samsung BD-P2400 and BD-P1400 third gen Blu-Ray players


Pleasing the movie freaks with their present announcement, Samsung's third generation Blu-ray players are ready to scorch the screens! The BD-P2400, and BD-P1400 feature Blu-ray playback at HD resolution (1080p / 1080i / 720p), HD video at 1920 x 1080, and DVDs at 1080p via HDMI. The BD-P2400 uses Samsung's "Hollywood Quality Video" and the player's audio features stereo and 5.1, coaxial and optical digital outs, and Dolby Digital Plus with DTS HD and MP3 playback. The video features HDMI, component, S-Video and composite outs.

LG KU990 now with touch screen and YouTube friendly too


Following the latest trend of touch screen, LG has also geared up to release its latest model LGKU990 with its most important feature being the 3inch touch screen. I wonder if the designers at LG were inspired by iPhone. This Prada like phone is believed to be a YouTube-enabled handset. This means that it'll not only be able to play YouTube videos but allow you to submit videos to the site straight from the phone as well. YouTube is going to be bombarded then! But this is possible because the KU990 comes with a 5-megapixel camera and HSDPA connectivity. I’m sure all of us can look out of the window or watch the morning weather forecast news to decide if we need to carry our rain gears along. Exploding Motorola Phone kills Chinese welder

Faulty batteries have burned down houses, furniture etc in the past, but this is the first time it has claimed a life. Chinese news agency Xinhua is reporting on how a exploding Motorola phone took the life of Xiao Jinpeng a welder working at Yingpan Iron Ore Dressing Plant in Gansu's Jinta county. Xiao's mobile phone kept in his chest pocket suddenly exploded when he was working at the plant, his colleagues suggest that it exploded because of high temperatures. The incident took place on June 19 after which Xiao passed away yesterday as the explosion had broken his ribs and its fragments had pierced his heart.
